When Will the Group Meet?
The group meets Saturday mornings from 10:00-11:30am, 6 times on the first Saturday of each month October through March. Dates of the 2016-2017 group are: October 1st, November 5th, December 3rd, January 7th, February 4th, and March 4th.
Where is the Group?
The group will be at our Wheat Ridge office location.
How much does it cost?
Cost is $40 for each parent or $50 per couple per group session. Payment is due regardless of group attendance for all 6 group sessions. There is an additional $15 registration fee to hold your space. Each parent/couple will receive a copy of The Whole Brain Child, which will be used in the group.
Do I need to attend all 6 group sessions?
Group members are encouraged to attend all 6 sessions to experience the most benefits; however, we understand that emergencies, illnesses, and family trips happen. It is important that you attend as many groups as possible, as the groups are closed to new group members once they begin.
What will we be doing?
In this 6-session group, parents will share their stories, struggles, and successes with one another. Our goal is to create a safe place for each parent to be their authentic self. This occurs by group members experiencing caring and acceptance from one another to support each other and to explore new possibilities. In addition, we will discuss 12 revolutionary strategies to nurture your child’s developing mind as presented in the book The Whole Brain Child. This book provides easy to understand, scientific information on how a child’s brain develops and functions. Parents will learn how to help their children handle and respond to different experiences and challenges.
