Adria Rigg, Owner and Clinical Director of Experience Change, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Adria received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology Counselor Education with a specialization in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Colorado Denver in 2010. She has worked for organizations including Shiloh House, Jefferson County Human Services, Denver Family Therapy Center, Mount Saint Vincent Home, Denver Public Schools, Camp Coca-Cola, Kanuga Conferences, and the YMCA.
Adria has over 20 years experience working with families, children, and teenagers. She is certified in Synergetic Play Therapy, has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, and is an Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Approved Supervisor. Adria is skilled in the treatment of depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, communication issues, conflict, divorce recovery, parenting issues, childhood abuse or neglect, sexual assault, and sensory issues. She is comfortable working with clients individually, as a couple, or with the entire family.

Alex Theisen is a Master’s of Arts Counseling Intern. She received her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado Boulder in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies with a focus on Queer Theory. Currently, she is working towards her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Regis University. Alex has provided individual therapy at the Regis University Counseling Center and completed her Practicum at Along Your Journey. In these roles, Alex supported teens and adults in finding their identities, processing trauma, and developing effective coping mechanisms.
Alex prides herself in providing culturally sensitive experiences for clients and creating a space where the client and therapist collaborate to find solutions. Her goal is to empower clients to take their lives into their own hands and solve problems with a new, invigorated resolve. Bridget Weigel offers counseling to adults and couples at Experience Change’s Glendale and Wheat Ridge offices. Bridget received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regis University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development from Colorado State University. In addition, she has spent 15+ years working with entrepreneurs and small business owners in marketing strategy, planning, branding, and sales. This expertise developed out of her own experience owning and running a social dance studio and spending 15 years working with couples, groups, and individuals learning to dance. Working one on one with individuals and seeing the power of movement, learning new skills, and social connection to the community guided her back to the world of mental health where she could more deeply support clients.
Prior to working at Experience Change, Bridget completed her practicum at Idea Cares supporting adults struggling with substance abuse, recovery, trauma, and domestic violence. Additionally, she worked with adults and couples navigating interpersonal communication, relationship dynamics, healing wounds, anxiety, depression, isolation, life transitions, and identity exploration.
Bridget believes in the potential in every client’s ability to improve their life experiences and relationships through a combination of education, exploration, and reflection. Her open and direct approach focuses on decreasing intense emotions, deepening relationships, improving communication, and increasing overall wellbeing. With additional training in somatic psychotherapy, Bridget enjoys incorporating a connection to body sensations, meditation, and breathing for a fuller exploration of a client’s experience.

Carrie Rush is a Master’s level intern at Experience Change. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies from the University of Nebraska. Following her bachelor’s she received a Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education from The University of Nebraska. Carrie is completing her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy through Regis University. She worked for 7 years in public education and spent time working in inpatient child mental health. Carrie is passionate about helping families create change and stories of empowerment. She specializes in families in transition, perinatal and postpartum, LGBTQIA+ family systems, and child/adolescent therapy.
Carrie’s therapeutic style is a blend of humor, creativity, warmth, and empathy. She has the ability to create strong relationships with clients of a variety of ages, life stages, and backgrounds. Carrie uses play therapy and experiential techniques with all clients as a tool to dig deeper into the clients current stories that no longer fit them and create new, empowering stories.

Her training and experience provide a way to understand the dual nature of relationships: they are vital for living and challenging to maintain. Michael Mendoza has a Master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in Couples & Family Therapy from the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver). Michael worked in higher education for a number of years at the CU Denver TRiO Student Support Services program providing holistic services to students who were first-generation, low-income, and/or had documented disabilities. In this role, Michael began to feel limited in his care for students, recognizing there was a significant need for mental health services. As he continued to observe cultural/social barriers to therapy for people of color, Michael decided to pursue a career in mental health and work to make a difference in his community.

Shonglee utilizes a nonjudgmental, culturally responsive, person-centered therapeutic process that draws from Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy. She believes each of us is fully capable of discovering joy, meaningful connection, and healing.
Outside of the office, Shonglee loves spending time with her partner, friends, and family, playing with her dog, Motz, reading, cooking, and basking in the sunshine.

Sydney Wycoff is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate. She received her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado Denver in Business Administration and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University. Prior to working at Experience Change, Sydney worked in the Regis Community Counseling Center supporting adolescents and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, and other difficult life transitions.
Sydney specializes in play therapy with children and individual counseling for adolescents and adults. She believes in meeting clients where they are, providing a safe space, and building a collaborative therapeutic relationship. Utilizing a person-centered and strength-based approach, she empowers clients to explore unhealed trauma and life’s stressors. She supports all walks of life on their journeys, and provides an authentic, empathetic, and transparent experience. Sydney possesses a desire to understand and empathize with each individual’s unique perspective and circumstance, and advocates for her client’s best life.

Tracy Stinson is a Master’s of Arts Counseling Intern. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing with a Minor in Psychology from the University of New Mexico. Currently, she is working towards her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Regis University. Tracy provided individual therapy at the Regis University Counseling Center and completed her Practicum, along with 4 months of internship at Life Recovery Centers. In these roles, Tracy worked with older teens and adults processing through trauma and grief, exploring and examining how past experiences impact present-day relationships and behaviors, and learning effective coping skills through DBT and mindfulness practices.
Tracy believes that we all have a basic need to be seen, heard, and accepted for who we are, regardless of the path we walk. Through creating a safe, warm, and nonjudgmental space, Tracy’s goal is to guide clients back into true connection with themselves and others. She assists clients in exploring their inner selves to shine light on the spaces in need of healing and to find meaning in experiences that bring depth to life. Additionally, Tracy empowers clients to find a sense of wholeness and the kind of deep healing that resonates in their souls. She works from an overall person-centered approach, while utilizing a variety of depth therapies including psychodynamic, existential, dream work, and grief alchemy. Tracy’s focus areas include trauma, PTSD, shame, grief, depression, anxiety, queer issues, and life transitions.
In her free time, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the world with her wife and dog, experiencing an array of cuisines, and reading fiction books.
