I always felt drawn towards a helping profession, as long as I can remember. Service was a value that I saw demonstrated in my home, from inviting a door-to-door salesman to dinner, to offering lodging to newly immigrant family, to going to nursing homes with my grandparents. Service was something we just did. In this vein, I had intended to become a pediatrician, specializing in genetic disorders when I graduated high school and went to college. Due to unfortunate choices I made in college, I realized that my dream of becoming a pediatrician was not going to be possible. This threw me into what I call a quarter-life crisis, filling me with dread and panic. While going through this crisis, I realized how many of my friends spoke with me about their relationship problems, which prompted me towards becoming a therapist. Since then, I’ve found my passion is to guide others through their moments of crises and insecurities, which drives my work as a clinician and a supervisor.

In terms of clinical supervision, I prefer a collaborative approach with my supervisees, exploring self-care, countertransference, cultural aspects of different clinical cases, and encouraging growth in skills and confidence of the clinician. Additionally, in the ongoing quest to increase knowledge, I have been dabbling in public speaking, teaching, and putting some work into a YouTube channel for my private practice, Aiding Therapy Services, PLLC.

In my free time, I typically read, do crossword puzzles, spend time with friends, or watch old sitcoms such as The Golden Girls or Frasier.
