Eating Disorder Survivor

Formerly Lutheran

I struggled with an eating disorder for over a decade. It was the monster that dictated many of my thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. Going to counseling was the first time I was able to confront that monster and understand why it was there. I learned that I did not have to let it rule my life and that I could let it go if I wanted. During my healing process, I experienced the transformative and beautiful work that is connected to counseling. I knew that working in the counseling field was where I wanted to be. It’s a privilege to work with others while they go through their own healing journeys.

Are you ready to find out what you really want out of life and explore these new possibilities even when it seems scary? I believe that everyone has the tools and power within them to evolve. I uses a Person-Centered Approach to counseling. I trust in the transformative power of relationships that will allow you to keep moving toward your true self. I meet clients where they are and am willing to sit with you in the discomfort and pain that can shift into healing and growth. I approach my clients as equals, witnessing you, “being a human being,” and accepting you as you are in each moment. I hope that our time together will be the springboard for your path towards love and acceptance of who you are.

In my free time, I enjoy record collecting, movies, trashy reality TV, walking, and cuddling with my cats.
